Wow, I bought 3 pairs of Vitesse and Blitz last year and they felt really good. I went on a holiday and forgot to bring them, and was shocked to get blisters for the first time in 1 year after wearing regular socks. You need to have more retailers selling them especially in touristy areas.

I am just now starting to retire the Greenyarn socks that I bought some time in the first half of 2010 - I have used them nearly on a daily (!) basis - I have clearly managed to rotate through the stock on a consistent basis since all socks have started to wear through the heal nearly at the same time.

The first one to go was the pair with the red pullstrap - I only bought one of that pair and I think it was too easy to grab that in my sock drawer. The 5 or so "anonymous" black and grey pairs have evidently gotten equal use, they are all "dying" now. Only the heal though, otherwise fully serviceable - nice and stretchy.

It probably helps that we rarely use a dryer, nearly always hang outside to dry.

I am thinking about writing a piece on these socks for the publication I work for - we focus on total cost of ownership versus price, and I thought this would be a good story.

I'm off to buy some new socks - hoping to see that you have an all-black line!

I just bought another 6 - but I am a heavy and frequent user - the typical store socks - so called "premium" - would normally last a few weeks.

I suspect that I bought mine in the spring of 2010 - so they survived 1.5 years of my fairly extreme use.

I was training for Triathlon and were introduced to these socks by my friend last year. I usually go through socks every 3 months, and even Gold Toe, Smartwool and other top brands do not last. I was surprised when I got these socks. The knitting was a lot denser, however, the socks felt cool when I put them on as they wick moisture fast!

The socks gave a lot of support and cushioning, and I got no blisters during practice and race unlike any other socks. I love wearing these socks for Marathon or going for a long cycling trip. Though they look pricey, they last very long, and are well worth the money. Best socks ever made.

Summer is here, and the pair of Short Plus Socks that I bought 4 years back are still functional, but I finally decided to get a new set of socks. I found the new Sole-R to be simply amazing. I can't believe socks could ever be better. They are dry and keep my feet fresh and comfortable.

I went on a holiday however, and ran out of socks, and when I bought regular socks and walked in London for a day, I got blisters! I have never had blisters since I switched to Greenyarn Socks. I guess that taught me a lesson to bring Greenyarn socks whereever I go!

Found these nanotechnology socks online, and got 2 pairs to try as I'm preparing for marathon. Was surprised at how comfortable they felt on your feet. They really do wick moisture and cushion every step. Will try them on marathon day!

Ordered a few socks and underwear to give away for the holidays and everyone loved them! I even got some people who did not like WEARING briefs to wear them! I love them and now my family love them.

The underwear is only in grey, but its the most comfortable ones I've worn. Definitely worth it on roadtrips. Highly recommended!

I love the new Moist+ 2 design. They are very interesting, but which side is up? Nonetheless, I like them because the solution has little smell, and it is the thick kind of solution unlike many of the cheaper ones that I used to buy.

My face is very sensitive, and this is the first mask I do not get a reaction and my skin feels tighter and smooth after just one use. Its great! You need to sell them in bulk, I can't just get one!

I can't get enough of the Moist+ 2 Facial Masks.

They are very addictive and really helps me relax after a day a work. My face feels really tight and the next day it looks a lot 'brighter'. I've used many branded facial products, and this has been the best. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL THESE YEARS!

Mayheim socks

Had these socks for travelling. Survived for one month with 2 pairs of Greenyarn socks. They dry fast, and do not stink after a long day's walk. Even with my boots, these socks felt comfortable, and I did not have any blisters at all. Would definitely recommend them!

These eco-friendly socks are a cut above regular socks in many ways. They have a variety of color combinations, absorb odor and wetness, and are cushioned for comfort.

These socks come in several color combinations and are unisex. They have full cushion sole support which makes every step less jarring on the feet and knees. They have reinforced heels and toes and have arch support with a band around the middle of the foot. But the real advantage to these socks is that they contain bamboo charcoal particles. My Viewpoint

Greenyarn Short Socks are a great alternative to cheap low cut socks. They work overtime wicking odor and wetness and are cushioned so every step is less jarring. They are great for wearing with athletic shoes or hiking hoots and they hold up very well. My socks have been worn several times and they look as good as new and continue to make my feet feel better. They a bit pricey but they are worth it, even if you just wear them to workout or when you are on your feet a lot. They will make a difference in how your feet feel after a hard workout or a long day. I have go with 5 stars. These are incredible socks that are super eco friendly.

Hi Greenyarn,

I am training for Marathon and my girlfriend bought me some socks to encourage me to train more as I was complaining about blisters. Initially I thought it was a joke as she always complained that my foot stinks, but after wearing these socks, I stopped having blisters, and my foot do not smell anymore!

Wow, they also make my ankles and knees hurt less as they cushion my feet very well. However, I am now addicted to these socks and I have to wear them everyday. I wonder if you have socks for work shoes as I feel funny wearing other socks now.

Hello Green Yarn,

I'm suffering from a Body Odor problem. So I recently bought the men's polo shirt from buyactivatedcharcoal.com It worked pretty well covering up the odor but not nearly as I would've liked. I understand that the more ecofabric in the material, the better they work. This shirt was 60% ecofabric and 40% polyester. So I'd really appreciate it if you guys designed 100% ecofabric t-shirts. And I stress the t-shirts by the way. Polo shirts can't be worn at all times. T-shirts can at least be worn inside. Please consider this plea. I have all my hope in you guys. I already tried to contact buyactivatedcharcoal.com about this and haven't got a reply back. So I'm really looking forward to your reply.

I have used may different facial mask and I must say that the Moist+ Facial masks feel the best. I tried SK-II, and though more expensive, they are not much better than the Moist+ Facial Masks.

The other cheap facial masks are all junk, they are just cotton with fragrant water. Let me know if you have other beauty products, I'd love to try them!

The socks that you sent to me were great! My boyfriend is the one with
diabetes and he is said that they felt very good and were "cushiony" on the

I found the Greenyarn socks in a store in Taiwan, and I recently visited Boston and got a pair from a friend in Boston, as I needed the socks to wear, I wore them immediately and threw the packaging away. I think the philosophy around your products which i feel is is very well
thought out and like the fact that you also care about the environment and
produce these products in this spirit, taking into consideration crucial
sustainability issues. I think the Greenyarn Foundation when established
will do some good work!

Also i like the fact you have included scientific reports and articles for
information, it would be great to have some pictures of production too.

Moist + Facial Mask
I really liked this facial mask Robin. I have sensitive and difficult skin
but wanted to use the product and was pleasantly surprised that i had no
reaction whatsoever which is a small miracle for me! Also it managed to get
rid of a rather heavy headache in the 15 mins i had on my face. I wanted to
tell you that from my perspective the benefits are not only for the skin but
maybe also as a relaxant and de-stresser. The only thing that i was confused
with was not being sure that after i removed the mask, there was nothing on
the "directions" to say whether i needed to wash off,  i didn't wash off as
i loved the serum so much i just let it absorb and my skin feels good for
it.

A friend gave me your socks and wrist guard to help my arthritis.  I
fell in love with the socks the first day an ordered 6 pair for work.

A friend gave these socks to me and I must say, these are the most comfortable socks I've worn.

I had Gold Toe, Smartwool, Wigwam. Nothing feels as good as these Greenyarn Short Plus Socks.

I'm a cop and I wore the socks all day in the hot summer heat.

My feet felt great after 8 hours of detail work, and my knees do not hurt.
Even in my old boots, my feet do not stink anymore.

The socks fit well, and they do not bunch up like my other cheap socks.

They look and feel excellent. Real quality socks.

Wanted to test the socks for their properties.
These socks were worn in old leather work boots for 16
hours. Temperature was 98 degrees with high humidity.
Wore boots while working outside all day.

Feet felt dry, and socks cushion all day. There was
significantly less odors!

Wow, I wanted just a pair of deodorizing socks, but these socks just feel awesome.

They cushion a lot, and my knees hurt less after standing all day today. They worked very
well and my feet do not smell at all. They fell clean and dry too, even on a really hot day.

They socks fit well, and I really like the way they hug the arches of the feet. I'm impressed
and I'll sure be ordering some more soon.

Just got my 3 prs. of socks yesterday...They are amazingly
comfortable, feel smooth and tight without binding, and
"hold up" all day.

What's the best way to wash and dry them?

Will they dry overnight in a hotel room?

There is actually no special washing instructions for these socks. The only
instruction is not to use bleach.

For for general sock care. To make your socks last longer, socks should be
handwashed or machine washed in warm water.
Socks should not be throw in a dryer, as the heat the wear out the elasticity
of the socks faster.
Socks should not be wringed dry, they should be squeezed dry.

The socks dry pretty fast too. The socks were tested outdoors during a camping
trip, and they were washed in the stream at night and were dry by morning, so I
would assume they would be dry in hotels overnights too.

These socks are AWESOME!

They feel great indoors and outdoors, and they really cushion well. I have worn them for 3 days straight, 8 hours a day, and they feel dry and comfy. No odors too!

I really want to try out other products now, and I cannot believe that these socks deodorise becasue of bamboo charcoal?

They are simply amazing.

Alright. I have been wearing the gray socks now for over a week.
I am very impressed. Far better than any Foxriver, Wigwam, speciality store
sock.

Right out of the package I wore them disregarding the note about waxed
seams. They fit very well.  One thing I hate about socks is when they
fall off the calves and bunch up, leaving one with leg warmers. This isn't
the 80s even if it was.. I don't like it. To have a nice tight fit in need
of only occasional adjustment does wonders for fit and comfort.

In all weathers they work well. I have worn them in sneakers (New
Balance) and my work boots (Garmont's, 6" Gore Tex). In both shoes the socks are
extremely comfrotable. Only once in the work boots on a cold wet, windy
day (on Cape weather is never like they forecast) did my feet feel cold,
clamy. Perhaps there is a warmer Greenyarn sock for this condition?

Every time though I took the footwear off, the feet were nice and dry.
It was amazing.

Have washed them once, let hang dry.

When I am done wearing them I turn them inside out and let hang in a
locker at work.

In rain, wind, warm with sneakers or boots after short time and many
hours on my feet over the course of a day in class or a day on the golf
course the socks were great! No odors, comfy and dry.

The Greenyarn logo on the side, while nice, is already starting to peel
off around the extreme edges. Perhaps a screenprinting or smaller logo or
better adhesion would do the trick?

I am waiting to use the insoles on a new pair of boots or sneakers. I
don't want to cut them to fit for my aged shoes. I look forward to using them
as I pronate a good amount and do not wear orthodics. Just this past month I
have begun running more. So a good time to test them soon! I will keep you
informed when I do.

About running, too, are there lower cut socks you make? A footie or
more athletic sock? I would love that.
